A study on work life after the pandemic:

The Future of Work Life

How Sweden's HR leaders are rethinking work life after the pandemic.

How Sweden's HR leaders are rethinking work life after the pandemic.

"The Future of Work Life" is a study about the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on our work life. The study is based on interviews with over 100 HR leaders in Sweden and was developed in 2021 by CatalystOne Engage in collaboration with Sweden's HR Association.

The foundations change, again

Working life has changed several times as a result of megatrends in society. Over the last 250 years, society has faced industrialisation, automation, the democratisation of the labour market, globalisation, urbanisation, the transition to a service economy, and rapid digitisation. These changes have affected, for example, working methods, hours, tasks, and place of work.

In 2020, working life changed faster than it had in the previous 250 years. Office workspaces were packed up almost overnight, and new home offices were set up instead. Covid-19 broke the previous trend towards open-plan offices designed for spontaneous meetings and creativity. Digital meetings replaced physical ones.

In The Future of Work Life, Sweden's HR leaders explain the effects the pandemic has had on their organisations, including:

  • lessons learned
  • reasons why remote work will continue to a large extent even after the pandemic
  • the challenges these changes brought about
  • suggestions for solutions going forward

”We are very satisfied with this tool and appreciate a partner at the forefront of development. We should not have to think about things like this; luckily, CatalystOne Engage always thinks ahead. Something we value highly.”

A modern employee survey

We believe that every voice matters. Yet many organisations face survey fatigue, scattered results, and feedback that never leads to action. We turn this around with short, focused pulse surveys at flexible intervals, making feedback an ongoing conversation. This gives you a clear picture of organisational health and the insights you need to track progress, spot areas where support is needed, and act in time to prevent small issues from escalating.
